Making things happen has always been the attitude of Lois Knighton. From her childhood till today, the positive force of getting things done has always driven her.
Lois grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and was accepted to Trinity University in San Antonio at the age of 16, as a drama major receiving academic scholarships in speech and drama. Trinity University is perennially rated as one of the top scholastic universities in the United States – generally number one in the southwest as ranked by the U.S. News and World Report College Yearbook each year.
In 1985, after raising her two kids and enjoying her marriage, Lois began her real estate career working with the Jon Douglas Company. She has been raising the bar of excellence in her field ever since. And, in the over twenty years Lois has been active in real estate, she has been honored time and again with the most prestigious awards including; Coldwell Banker President’s Club and Coldwell Banker Diamond Society. She has also been honored by the San Fernando Board of Realtors© and was asked to join their board in 2006. She is also the Associate Manager of the Coldwell Banker in Encino, California.
Along with participating in the committees and boards surrounding the real estate field, Lois has contributed extensively to humanitarian causes including Habitat for Humanity, The RESCATE Family Rescue Center, the L.A. Mission, and Meals on Wheels, and Women's Care Cottage, to name a few. She has also been active in youth activities taking the Sherman Oaks Little League from 8 teams to 36 teams with a senior division while being president of the league. In her church she is a Deacon and has initiated new programs such as “Adopt a Family” helping families in need to enjoy the holidays more fully.
