Personal Background
Born and raised in the Bay Area, John has been a part of the region's real estate market for most of his life. His father's L.B. Nelson Corporation specialized in residential and commercial land development, both locally and nationwide, and John served as vice-president of the land division, seeking out areas suitable for development.
John earned his real estate license in 1992 and started selling residential real estate through Cornish & Carey, which has since been acquired by Coldwell Banker Northern California. John now lives with his wife and two young children in Redwood City, where he is president of the Parent Faculty Group at his daughter's school.
