Coldwell Banker’s Sales Associates must satisfy the basic requirements of the California Department of Real Estate (DRE), the licensing and controlling entity in real estate. These requirements are that all persons who sell real estate must:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must provide Proof of Legal Presence in U.S
  • Must be honest and truthful
  • Must provide evidence of successful completion of a three-semester-unit or four-quarter-unit college-level course in Real Estate Principles

The program is designed to introduce sales associates to the paperwork, basic sales skills, and technical knowledge that will assist them in processing successful real estate transactions.

The S*T*A*R*T (Superior Training About Residential Transactions) Program is taught by our entire Management Team with over 240 years of combined experience as real estate professionals. Who better to train new Sales Associates on the concepts of real estate than the professionals who have been ’through the trenches!’.

Each session lasts approximately 10 days and features individual classes that cover specific topics such as: Contract Writing, RESPA & Legal, Listing Contracts, Sales Skills, Title & Escrow, Technology, Marketing, Mortgage/ Finance, and Goals and Mindset.
