John Paul “J.P.” Ledesma

In addition to being the former Mayor I have served on the City Council for 12 years and have been a Mission Viejo resident for over 24 years and an active volunteer in Mission Viejo since 1992. Helping first time buyers or those relocating find a place to call home, especially here in beautiful Mission Viejo is really enjoyable.  While Mission Viejo is my primary area of expertise locally, I also am familiar with Rancho Santa Margarita and Lake Forest along with other nearby areas including Portola Hills, Robinson Ranch, Trabuco Canyon, Dove Canyon, Coto de Caza, Las Flores and Ladera Ranch. In addition to having been elected to the Mission Viejo City Council, I also have been involved in several school board elections for the Capistrano Valley Unified School district, the Saddleback Valley Unified School District and the South Orange County Community College District.

When it comes to selling investment properties I take a consultative approach and enjoy finding people great deals on properties here in Orange County as well as other area where renting residential properties makes cash-flow sense.  Also, letting people know that they can use their IRA or indirectly 401k money to buy investment properties, along with using non-recourse financing when necessary.

I am a California Real Estate Broker and have designations such as Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Certified HAFA Specialist (CHS) and a certified Relocation Specialist.  As for Real Estate Education I have over 200 hours of Continuing Education covering topics such as Short Sales, Real Estate Appraisal, Commercial Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Loan Brokering, Pro-Forma Modeling and Ethics. 2012 Level II Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program Member of the Urban Land Institute.

In addition to being the former Mayor I have served on the City Council for 12 years, where I was first elected in 1998, have been a Mission Viejo resident for over 24 years and an active volunteer in Mission Viejo since 1992.  Additionally, I have served as the city’s representative on the El Toro Reuse Planning Authority, the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority, and alternate representative to the Orange County Fire Authority, representative for the Measure M growth management areas 9 and 10 and a director on the San Joaquin transportation corridor agency.

My most notable media appearances include being a guest on Fox News’ Your World with Neil Cavuto, the John and Ken show on KFI 640AM, Which Way, L.A.? with moderator Warren Olney on KCRW 89.9FM along with several other local television and radio stations. On August 12, 2007 the Orange County Register ran a full feature article about me and I have also been quoted in numerous articles in the Orange County Register and the Los Angeles Times.
