Professional Philosophy

Life in the Silicon Valley can be hectic. We know this first hand having worked at 8 different high tech companies in the 80’s and 90’s.

As Realtors, our goal is to make the home buying and selling process as simple and stress free as possible. We make it a priority to inform and educate clients on the entire real estate transaction process. We work closely with each of our clients personally (you will never be relegated to working with an assistant), adjusting our schedules to match yours.

Professional Experience

Janie and John have been helping clients find the homes of their dreams since 1999. In that time they have helped dozens of families buy, sell and lease properties in the heart of the Silicon Valley.

 

Prior to entering a career in real estate, Janie worked as a Human Resource Manager at several of the most recognizable companies in the Silicon Valley. John similarly spent many years in high tech, first as a software engineer and later as a product manager and Vice President of Product Marketing.

Education

Janie was born and raised on the mid-Peninsula. She is an alumna of Windmill Nursery School, Woodside Preschool, and Corte Madera and Ormondale schools in Portola Valley, Menlo-Atherton High School in Menlo Park, and Canada, Foothill and Merritt Colleges. She has also taken several courses on landscape architecture and works closely with interior designers.

                                                                                           

John moved to the Bay Area in 1985 to attend Stanford University where he earned a BS in Computer Systems Engineering and an AB in Quantitative Economics. Like many Stanford alumni, he has lived in the area ever since.

Personal Background

Janie was born in San Francisco and raised in Portola Valley and Menlo Park. She is a true Silicon Valley native. John was born in Southern California, raised in Bellevue, Washington, and a graduate of Stanford University. After 20 years in the area, he feels like a native. Janie and John have two children.

 

Both Janie and John thrive on community service. Both work enthusiastically as volunteer board members for the Portola Valley/Woodside/La Honda AYSO as well as coaching multiple sports teams at Woodland School in Portola Valley.
