Personal Background

About Ginny and Joe Ginny and Joe Kavanaugh are a top producing, mother and son real estate team with 35 years of experience between them. They rank amongst the top 1% of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents in Northern California, top 5% nationwide, and are members of the International President’s Premier. Ginny and Joe consistently rank as the top producing team in the company’s Portola Valley office. As longtime residents of Portola Valley, the Kavanaughs are intimately familiar with the surrounding area and are Previews Property Specialists for Woodside, Portola Valley, Atherton, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills. Joe, who was born in Portola Valley, grew up attending local schools. He went on to attend Villanova University before returning to the area to work alongside Ginny in 2002. 

Community Involvement

We are proud to be active members of our community and to have contributed through volunteerism to several local groups and organizations. Ginny is a member of the Advisory Board to the Portola Valley Schools Foundation, has served on the 21st Century Fund Committee, and as past co-president of the executive board for Portola Valley Schools Foundation. She has served on the board of trustees for Woodside Priority and is a past member of the Foundation Board of Summit Prep Charter High School. We are also members of the Peninsula Children’s Center Charter Auxiliary, contributors to Habitat for Humanity, and are on the Catholic Charities CYO fundraising committee.
