A Montclair area resident for more than 30 years, Strand has worked in the local real estate market for more than 15 years. She is a Fine Homes Specialist, license real estate broker and specializes in sales in the Montclair community. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, she was with Prudential California Realty for 10 years.

She is a former world-class marathon runner and won the 2011 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society East Bay Chapter Woman of the Year Award.
Strand graduated from University of California at Berkeley and majored in journalism and law prior to transitioning into real estate.
