Martin J. Conrad

Regional Vice President

San Diego Region

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Marty received a B.S. in Industrial Arts from Northern Illinois University.  He earned an Advanced Certificate in Real Estate from the University of California, and is a graduate of the REALTORS® Institute.  He was awarded the CRB designation in 1991.

Marty served as an Infantry Officer from 1974 to 1977, and left active duty in May, 1977.  He was licensed as a real estate agent in June of 1977 and as a broker in 1979.  He was recalled to active duty in November of 1990 for duty in Southwest Asia in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and participated in the invasion of Kuwait and liberation of Kuwait City.   He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon and the Navy Commendation Medal for performance of duty during that period, and was released from active duty in May of 1991.   He commanded the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion from 1994 to 1996 and retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2002 at the rank of Colonel.

Marty was appointed Branch Manager of the Encinitas office in May of 1993.  In that year, the Encinitas office finished first among all Company-owned offices in California in Operating Profit, Closed Transactions and Listings per Desk.  In 1994 the Encinitas office finished second in the United States in Company owned offices in Gross Commission Income, and 5th internationally (Company and Affiliate offices) in Closed Transactions.  The Encinitas office received Premiere Office designation every year from 1994 through 2005, and ranked 5th nationally in dollars generated from recruiting for the three year period of 1993, 1994 and 1995.  Marty was appointed Senior Vice President and General Sales Manager for Coldwell Banker San Diego/Temecula Valley in 2004, and is currently serving as the Regional Vice President for the San Diego Company.
