Business Philosophy

Honest, straight forward and hard working defines my work ethic.  My goal is to make the process seamless whether you are buying or selling with some laughs along the way.  My business background, I was a practicing certified public accountant, has prepared me to thoughtfully review and analyze each detail.   When representing buyers I work hard to find the property that fits just right, negotiate the deal, work with lenders, manage the due diligence process and see that the closing is smooth.  On the seller's side:   I prepare and review a detailed comparative market analysis; advise on the appropriate pricing strategy for the current market conditions; assist on completing the mandatory disclosures; prepare a pre-sale disclosure package; coordinate the staging; prepare the marketing materials which include the property brochure, print and internet advertising, website and social media; qualify the buyers and negotiate the sale; work with the appraisers and the inspectors and then happily accompany the sellers to the closing. Innately curious, I thoroughly enjoy the broad assortment of real estate and fascinating people I meet from young to mature; artists to bankers.

Consistently a Top Producing agent in San Francisco and Coldwell Banker.

 In 2013, I had the honor and distinction of being the Number One Agent in TRI Coldwell Banker, the top producing office in San Francisco.

Community Involvement

Have been active in my children's schools and activities: The Little School, Katherine Delmar Burke School,The Ross School, Redwood High School and Marin Rowing Club. 

Currently active in the San Francisco Zoo Auxiliary and Beyond Differences.

 

Personal Background

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  I attended the University of Michigan where I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration, concentrated in accounting.  After college I moved to sunny Southern California where I worked as a tax accountant for Arthur Andersen and Company.  I went to work as the controller for one of my clients, Beverly Hills Oil Company and become the Chief Financial Officer.  Upon moving to the Bay Area I became involved in Real Estate.  I was the marketing and sales director for Leonard Jay Development Company, a real estate developer in Petaluma, California.  I began selling real estate in 1991, shortly after the birth of my first daughter.  I have two daughters.  Courtney King whom received her BA and Masters in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.  She is currently employed as an engineer in the Bay Area.  My other daughter Brittany is a sophomore at the University of California at Los Angeles studying international politics and environmental studies.   I have a wide range of interests:  dining and wining with friends;  art and history museums;  music from punk to classical,  ballet; spectator sports-baseball, basketball, football, hockey and horse racing; personal sprots-running, hiking and biking and love to travel. 

Communities I Serve

I have been selling real estate throughout San Francisco since 1991.  I have many clients in Pacific Heights, Cow Hollow, Marina, Presidio Heights, Russian Hill, NOb HIll, Telegraph Hill, Lake Street, Sea Cliff, Lone Mountain, NOPA, Ashbury Heights, Noe Valley, Mission, Forest Hills, West Portal, South of Market, Downtown, North Waterfront and Yerba Buena.  I know the city well and enjoy learning new neighborhoods as the city continues to evolve.

 I sell real estate in Marin County as well.  Most of my business is in San Francisco but I am also active in Mill Valley, Tiburon, Larkspur, Greenbrae, Kentfield, Ross and San Anselmo.
